Webinar:
Meeting the psychological and financial needs of those suffering life-changing injuries
When someone suffers a life-changing injury (such as a spinal injury, limb loss or head injury in a road crash, or from some other violent and unexpected event), medical care and rehabilitation are always the primary concern. This webinar addresses two other critical aspects that must not be overlooked: psychological well-being of the injured person and family members; and financial stability to ensure high levels of care long term.
The event will call on a range of experts who work with families suffering a life-changing injury, including counsellors, personal injury solicitors and charities, to explore best practice and examples of positive outcomes.
The webinar will also seek to explore any evidence of psychological benefits of enabling seriously injured people to access opportunities to campaign for change, to prevent similar injuries in the future, and how to safeguard their needs during such opportunities.
